The
Capital Area Service Committee (C.A.S.C.) is the combined district
meeting of Districts 10, 11, 14, 15, and 16 of the Area 27 (Louisiana) of Alcoholics Anonymous.
C.A.S.C. is made up of the General Service Representatives (GSR's) or their alternates, District Committee Members (DCM's) and their alternates and Chairpersons of standing
committees established by CASC.
The stated purpose of C.A.S.C. is to hold regular
monthly meetings in an effort to:
- Carry the AA message to the alcoholic who
still suffers.
- Educate our general membership about the
Steps, Traditions, and Concepts of AA.
- Form such committees as may be necessary to
carry out our purpose and to receive monthly reports.
- Disburse such money as necessary to carry out
our purposes.
- Provide a forum for the exchange of
information between this organization and any other AA service
committees.
- To assist the DCM's
and GSR's in discharging their responsibilities
as outlined in the AA Service Manual.
CASC meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM
