Capital Area Service Committee

The Capital Area Service Committee (C.A.S.C.) is the combined district meeting of Districts 10, 11, 14, 15, and 16 of the Area 27 (Louisiana) of Alcoholics Anonymous. C.A.S.C. is made up of the General Service Representatives (GSR's) or their alternates, District Committee Members (DCM's) and their alternates and Chairpersons of standing committees established by CASC.

The stated purpose of C.A.S.C. is to hold regular monthly meetings in an effort to:

  • Carry the AA message to the alcoholic who still suffers.
  • Educate our general membership about the Steps, Traditions, and Concepts of AA.
  • Form such committees as may be necessary to carry out our purpose and to receive monthly reports.
  • Disburse such money as necessary to carry out our purposes.
  • Provide a forum for the exchange of information between this organization and any other AA service committees.
  • To assist the DCM's and GSR's in discharging their responsibilities as outlined in the AA Service Manual.

CASC meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM @ Club 12

(1695 Beaumont Drive in Baton Rouge).
